Hey, sorry for the delay again. I just got a new phone and my god people, have you seen what these things are capable of these days? I have been to busy having my mind blown to write a blog. Apps for everything! Absofreakinglutely everything! Life is so easy now, how the hell did anyone get anything done before the internet existed? It would have been such a pain in the ass to write a paper before the internet. You’d spend 97% of the time just finding resources. I had to write this long ass paper in order to graduate from University, 30pages! and it had to be all primary sources. What are the chances that Colorado State University would  have a letter written by a soldier to his wife about the great Indian Chief Techumseh from 1812 in their archives? Yeah, I’d be screwed! But do you know where I found that letter? you know who had that letter? The internet! Yeah, the MFing internet had that letter! The internet is amazing, I love you internet, I love you forever. Okay, I’ve managed to pull myself together, lets blog.
Hey remember this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Uy2FxP3FuU&feature;=related Remember how friggen awesome that was? Man, those Blue Jays teams back in the early 90’s were so badass.
Remember this also? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z64K8kznYs&feature;=related Yeah, that was sick. DB taking care of business. One of the highlights of my childhood.
Alright one last vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5fg5HcTYYc I’ll go on record and say that, that was the best hockey game ever played. Why did I show these videos? Well I want you to be all pumped up and in a good mood. Because the rest of this blog is gonna be a letdown.
I’ll start with some running news; Got in a good week of training last week, pretty happy about that. Good volume and I damn near ran a sub-60sec 400. That is a big deal for me. Anytime I dip below 60 I feel like a speedster. I have these long ass legs but when I try to get them to go really fast they just get all floppy and useless. Speed is overrated anyways, eff you speed!
The weather here in Guelph has gotten pretty nice as of late. All the trails and paths are good to go. The trail system in Guelph is so sick. For my long run on Sunday I just took off from my house, 23miles people, and not even exaggerating here, 22 of em’ on nice soft trails. Just went from trail to trail all over the city. It was great. Well played Guelph.
So now I have a confession to make. The real reason as to why I run. What drives this kid. The reason I get out the door and put in all these miles, the reason I blast the shit outta my core and the reason why I do all these other silly drills and such. It’s all because of the South Secondary School graduating class of 2002. Hey SCI class of 02′ you are a bunch of jerks, and I will prove you wrong! You see, at our graduation there was a series of random awards. Things like most likely to succeed, most likely to become awesome, most likely to be lame and stuff like that. There was also “most likely to be in the Olympics”, I was the obvious choice, I had that sucker locked up! well I thought it was obvious. I was wrong, most likely to be in the Olympics; Tyler MFing McTavish. What the hell! I will admit that Tyler is a much better athlete than me, but the award clearly stated “Olympics”, not overall athletic ability. Come on South! Tyler played basketball-He’s like 5’8, not gonna happen. He was a football superstar, great, not even an Olympic sport! he was awesome at Hockey… Canadian Olympic hockey team, umm good luck there buddy. That laminated paper certificate should have been mine! I won a goshdarned OFSAA medal! Apparently my classmates didn’t read TnfNorth and realize that an OFSAA medal is pretty much the same as the Olympics anyways.  So yeah, that’s what drives me. I am driven to succeed just so I can prove some people wrong, makes sense right?
Woah! What the hell? Oh man, a chipmunk just ran across the floor in the kitchen. There is a chipmunk in my house. Ahh crap, where’d it go? gah, my door is open. Did that little bastard go into my room? It is a mess in there, he could be anywhere. Crap. Well I’m going to go find that little bugger.
have a good one.

Hey, sorry for the delay again. I just got a new phone and my god people, have you seen what these things are capable of these days? I have been to busy having my mind blown to write a blog. I’ve managed to pull myself together and here I am,lets blog.
Today I am going to tell a story about an awesome party. I’m going to rely heavily on pictures to help tell this story because I can’t remember a lot of the details. This story takes place in Berlin Germany, 2009.  I was in Berlin because I was lucky enough to have made the world champs team in the steeple. It was an amazing trip, the highlight of my athletic career thus far.  The trip started off great when someone at AC screwed up and flew me to Germany first class. Did you know you get free beer in first class? Yeah, well ya do! Sure I was going to race at the world champs and all, but come on folks free beer! I got a little tipsy during the travel process and ended up missing a train stop somewhere and barely making it to training camp. Training camp was at a sweet sports complex in some small German town. It was fun. Then we went to Berlin for the world champs. We stayed in sweet hotel and I got my ass kicked in my race. So anyways, after all the running, throwing and jumping wrapped up there was a banquet. Before the banquet we had a team meeting and the AC folk basically said, have fun but don’t be “that guy”. You can probably figure that by mentioning this little tid-bit that I do indeed end up being “That guy”, oops. So we get on this bus and drive deep into the heart of East Berlin to get to the banquet site, which is essentially an old ship yard.
So, I have a confession to make here. The real reason as to why I run. The reason I get out the door and put in all these miles, the reason I blast the shit outta my core and the reason why I do all these other silly drills and such. It’s all because of the South Secondary School graduating class of 2002. Hey SCI class of 02′ you are a bunch of assholes, and I will prove you wrong! You see here, at our graduation there was a series of random awards. Things like most likely to succeed, most likely to become awesome, most likely to be lame and stuff like that. There was also “most likely to be in the Olympics” and even though I wasn’t very fast I was the obvious choice, well I thought it was obvious. But I was wrong, most likely to be in the Olympics…Tyler MFing McTavish. Now, I will admit that Tyler is a much better athlete than me, but the award was for Olympics, not overall athletic ability. Come on South! Tyler played basketball-He’s like 5’8, not gonna happen. He was a football superstar, great! not even in the Olympics! and he was awesome at Hockey. Canadian Olympic hockey team, umm good luck there buddy. So I shoulda won based on the fact that I compete in an Olympic event and I  won an OFSAA medal at said event, apparently my classmates didn’t realize that an OFSAA medal is pretty much the same as the Olympics anyways.
